I know how daunting and awkward getting headshots can feel, it’s completely normal! As an actor in Newcastle upon Tyne or across the wider North East, your headshot is your most important tool, and my goal is to make your session relaxed, collaborative, and successful.
In this blog post, I answer the most common questions I get asked about the headshot process. When you know what to expect, you can stop worrying about the camera and focus on your performance, ensuring we capture the casting-ready shots you need!
How much does your acting headshot session cost?
My headshot session costs £130 and includes 5 digital images. The shoot lasts 1 hour and you can change outfits as often as you like, this gives you the opportunity to have several different looks in one session. You also have the option to purchase additional images.
What colour background options do I have for my acting headshot?
There are various colours to choose from. If you have an idea of what colour background you want before arriving, that’s great. If not we can look at your clothing choices and pick together. The studio has a variety of colours including, navy, sage green, brown, red, beige and the traditional black and white. I will also show examples of the backgrounds being used to help you see what your actor headshots could look like.
Can I see the photos during the shoot?
Of course you can. When we first start shooting i will take a photo to show you what the headshot looks like. This helps you understand what the final images will look like. I will continue to show you throughout the shoot. By seeing what the photos look like you can can make any changes you need, positions, clothing, smile etc.
How many photos will you take?
I apologise now as I will definitely take too many photos. The amount depends on the type of shoot and how many outfit changes you have but you will always receive a large amount of preview photos to choose from.
How long will it take for me to see the preview photos?
I will always try to get your preview photos to you in 24hrs but if this is not possible the longest will be 48hrs. You will receive your fully edited photos up to three weeks after your have sent me your selection.
Can I buy additional photos?
Yes. You can buy as many additional images you like for £10 each.
